Comparative Proteomic Analysis of Serum fromCholangiocarcinoma Patients and Normal Cohorts

The cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is one of the prevalent cancers in China and often fails early diagnosis and medical intervention. We.performed proteomicanalyses of CCA serological profiles by protein precipitation with acetone after depleting high-abundant seral proteins using an Albumin/IgG Removal Kit. Compared with normal samples, 8 up-regulated and 6 down-regulated proteins were detected in the sera from CCA patients. Within the 11 proteins were identified with mass spectrometry, 8 proteins seemed to be related to CCA by bioinformatic database queries. The results might be for the diagnosis, treatment assessment and prognosis of CCA.
