Two dimensional gel electrophoresis patterns may reveal several hundreds of proteins that are difficult to analyse manually. Here a two-dimensional electrophoresis analysis system with the application of a multimedia personal computer is introduced. Comparing T-cytoplasmic mail sterile line(CMS)of wheat with its maintainer.we found several distinct proteins in the former,some of them had not been discovered with naked eyes.
