Abstract

Phosphoinositides were extracted by organic solvent and separated by thin layer chromatography(TLC),then were visualized by autoradiography The results showed that quercetin strongly inhibited the proliferation of HL 60 cells,its IC 50 was 46 6 μmol/L after 24 hours treatment and that quercetin could markedly inhibit in a dose dependent manner the turnover of phosphoinositides in intact HL 60 cells This may be one of important mechanisms,by which quercetin inhibits the proliferation and growth of tumor cells.
